SASH provides access to education, information and referral resources.
  • Dr. Patrick Carnes resources site. was created by Dr. Patrick Carnes, a pioneer in addiction treatment, to help not only the addict but friends or loved ones who are affected by sexual addiction and compulsivity. New insights into sexual addiction and resources for recovery are found on this site.
  • International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). IITAP's mission is to provide cutting-edge training and promote the highest level of professional standards among practitioners worldwide that treat those individuals with sex addiction and associated disorders.

  • The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center is located in the village in NYC and offers a wide variety of services including social activities, support groups, counseling, volunteer opportunities, public education and more.
  • Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) is a NYC based nonprofit community organization committed to helping men, women and children with HIV / AIDS. Some of their services include HIV prevention and health education, a hotline, groups, supportive services, legal services, information on treatment issues and more. GMHC also trains and supports volunteers to help out.
  • The purpose and goal of is to provide a safe haven for any LGBT people who are interested in access to essential, up to date, uplifting and informative health and wellness information in a safe, anonymous forum, from health care providers, writers and other professionals who care about promoting LGBT health.

  • Mood Disorders Support Group. The Mood Disorders Support Group (MDSG) is a non profit, self-help organization serving both individuals with depression and manic-depression (bipolar disorder), as well as their families and friends. We help people to accept and manage their illness and improve the quality of their life. We are an independent affiliate of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance.
  • NAMi-NYC Metro. The National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City (NAMI-NYC Metro) is a support, education, and advocacy organization for the mental health community. We serve families and individuals whose lives are affected by mental illness. Whether you have a family member with schizophrenia or are coping with depression, we have a program for you. All programs and services are free of charge.
